HEAD COACH KELLIE HARPER:
Kellie Harper has endured her share of good things, like an NCAA Tournament appearance while at NC State. Her program has established an identity that is ready to take the 2011-12 season head on. Add a top-25 recruiting class to a core of returning players that includes All-ACC performer Bonae Holston and former freshman all-american Marissa Kastanek and Harper's club is poised for another run to the NCAA's.
Her team plays with 100 percent effort for 40 minutes and never, ever quits no matter the score. Coach Harper is finishing her third season with the Wolfpack Women. Kellie Harper served as the head coach at Western Carolina University for 5 years prior to her arrival at NC State. In her time at Western, Harper led the Catamounts to 4 conference finals, 3 conference championships, 4 post season appearances and became the Southern Conference Coach of the Year in 2007. Harper also enjoyed a successful collegiate basketball career. During her playing days at The University of Tennessee, Harper was a part of 3 National Championships (1996, 1997, 1998).
