Jon Harper

Jon Harper enters his third season as an assistant women's basketball coach at NC State for the 2011-12 campaign. He is one of the Wolfpack's primary recruiters, while he also coaches the backcourt players and has the task of making the Pack's always challenging schedule each season.

Coach "Jon" helped his first NC State team to the NCAA Tournament with a 20-14 record during the 2009-10 campaign. A team that was predicted to finish ninth in the preseason, the Pack wound up tied for fifth in the ACC standings with a 7-7 record.

Under Harper's tutelage, guard Marissa Kastanek was named 2010 ACC Freshman of the Year, while back court mate Brittany Strachan led the conference in three-point shooting.

Prior to NC State, Harper spent five years as an assistant coach at Western Carolina and three seasons at Chattanooga.
